The Character Education word for the month is Perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to go on or to exist in spite of obstacles and difficulties.  Please help your child understand this concept by using some of the stories, examples and suggestions contained in our March Character Education Newsletter.

Welcome to the 2004-5 School Year.  It is going to be a busy and productive one!

Help us earn cash for the school!  Our school is participating in two programs that will help us earn cash.  Through the General Mills Box Tops for Education Program, we can earn cash by collecting the box top logos that appear on participation General Mills products (including all cereals, participating snacks and Yoplait items.  Please help us by collecting and clipping these box tips, with the logo, and sending them to Ms. Carty, our librarian.

Ms. Carty is also heading a collection of used ink cartridges (from inkjet and laser printers, fax machines, and copiers).  In the Cartridges for Kids program we can earn up to $8.00 for an empty cartridge.

We are still participating in the Campbell Soup Program for education.  Send, to Ms. Carty,  labels from Campbells, Pepperidge Farm, Swanson, V8, Pace and Franco-American.   Many thanks for your assistance in gathering these items for us.

Internet Alert! If  your children are to have the experience of using the Internet at Muller or are selected to have their work posted on our web page to represent their class, both you and your child must sign the District's new Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).  A full copy of the new policy (11 pages) can be viewed by clicking on the AUP link below.  This link will take you to the Instructional Technology page of the Department of Education where you will need to click on the "Acceptable Use Policy" link.  Additionally, a complete copy of the policy will be available for viewing in Muller School's parents' room.   We will print out and send home the Parent and Student signature pages for those students who do not have a previously signed form in their school folder.
