Students
will use:
1.
Productive thinking to list topic ideas
2.
The Inspiration program to brainstorm, web topic ideas, and make decisions
about their topic.
3.
Divide into specific groups of interest such as: Columbus in the West Indies,
Self Rule in the Virgin Islands, Territorial Branches of Government, Danish
Rule in the Virgin Islands. Then each student in the group chose
a specific area to conduct his/her research.
4.
Develop questions to direct their research and make a list what they know
about the topic.
5.
Find and use a variety of resources that include hard copy, electronic
medium, interviews, and field trips.
6.
Conduct their research and write note facts on facts worksheets.
7.
Site resource data on facts worksheets.
8.
Organise note facts, identify areas that need more information and add
to notes.
9.
Power Point program to create their narrative and add graphics to their
document.
10. Proof-read,
revise, and edit document.
11. Create
a joint bibliography.

Teacher needs to be familiar with the Inspiration program; Adding and editing
text, changing and formatting symbols, and using the rapid action option.
4.
Teacher needs to be familiar with text and graphic manipulation skills
and linking text pages in Power Point.
