A Student's Guide to using Power Point (98)

(1) Load Power Point. 

(2) Go to the File menu and select new.

(3) Select Blank Presentation.

(4) Pick the type of slide you wish to use.
 
(5) Go to the dancing A on the Task Bar to select a heading style.  Type the title.

(6) Move the title to the top and change the size, if you wish.

(7) Select the text box on the task bar and type the information.  Format text like you would in any word processor.

(8) Insert a picture by opening the Insert menu and selecting picture or clip art.

(9) Find and click the picture you want.  Move it to the location you want.

(10) To create a second slide go to the insert menu then click new slide and follow the above instructions.

(11) To make a hyperlink from one slide to another, put an arrow from auto shapes (on the task bar) onto the first slide then select Insert/hyperlink.   Click the bottom select button, then click  the number of the slide you want to link to.  Click Ok.

(12) Test the link by running the slide show.
